Gary-
you ask if anyone has any windshield brackets...
Sorry I do not have a set to spare but be careful as I recall
that there are three different versions of these puppies. One
set has the dzus fasteners going thru the brackets and then
thru the sheet metal of the scuttle into captive nuts inside the
car ( I THINK that that style was used on the 3b cars). The
next style had the dzus fasteners going thru the outer bracket
and then into a large cast style bracket which was then bolted
to the scuttle by another set of screws. The third style looked
like the second except for the fact that the angle formed by
the bracket in relationship to the side curtain was different.
You can check to see which type you have on your car by
checking to see if the holes in the body match the spacing of
the dzus fasteners (or screws) on the brackets. If your car
is the style that needs the inner (hidden from sight) brackets
the two sets of holes will not line up.
holes line up=late style no inner bracket
holes do not line up=earlier style that needs inner brackets
If your car does need the earlier style that need the inner
brackets then be careful as it is hard to tell the difference
between the two, as they look identical when off of the car.
The angle change was made when Triumph went from the
TR2 style wedge side curtain to the TR3 style dzus fastener
side curtain mount.
