Spit Gear Ratios

After complaining about his buzzing Spitfire, Larry Snyder 
remembered that the fourth gear ratio of all Spitfires is
1:1.  Well, yes and no - the fourth gear ratio is 1:1, but
if you follow that with a Laycock O/D you end up with 0.82:1
which makes a huge difference.  Something else to think about,
Larry.
