A quick note of general interest.
One of the problems when installing an electric fuel pump is the worry of
too much pressure, thus overfilling fuel bowl causing flooding.
When installing a new fuel pump, mechanical or electrical, if the float
valves are in bad shape, even a mechanical can provide too much pressure.
By replacing the float valve with a new "ball on ball" Grose jet, the
worry of too much pressure can be avoided since most over the counter
fuel pumps offer only up to about 7 lbs of pressure, very similar to
Factory mechanical pumps. The Grose jet is a vast improvement and very
simple to install.
