Thanks for the suggestions... This is what I did. I removed the exhaust. It
is pretty new, plus it is stainless. It came out so easy, I could not believe
it. Anyway, with the exhaust out the shaft still would not come out. Had to
unbolt the trans mount bracket and jack up the rear of the trans. That did the
trick.
I would not have dropped the exhaust if it hadn't have come apart so easily. My
advice: Go stainless exhaust and don't overtighten the clamps. Never know
when you may have to take it apart.
As far as the trans tunnel, new carpet, new dash, new pads, new clutch, already
have it. Most still need to be installed...
