Bay area, chance for redemption...

I think I should state that my San Francisco comments were
mostly tongue in cheek. I realize that I'm just having to come to terms
with life in the big city. For those who asked, the car was repaired
after the side swipe and the bonnet crunch, but the two keying episodes
were only about a week apart. I'm certainly putting Lou's (from Lou's
European Auto Body) kids through college with insurance money :-)

Anyway, here is a chance for you all to redeem yourself. Cait
said that the car (a spitfire bodyshell on a GT6 frame, suspension, and
driveline) started to make a very serious vibration above 45 mph
while on the throttle, but it was smooth on over-run and below 45. She
said the engine is still producing good power. I am assuming this either
the roto-flex couplings or the u-joints. The only thing that bothers me
is that it happened so suddenly. It was fine on her way to work and bad
when she came home. Also, all of those components are relatively new.
I've told her to check the obvious things like loose lug nuts (perhaps
the vandels tried to steal the rims).

I am really hoping soemone could take a look at the car and
make a diagnosis. I'll be in San Francisco over the Thanksgiving holiday
and I'd like to repair the car. But, I'm going to have to order any unusual
parts before I leave MI. As always, I will certainly pay someone for their
time. The car is currently in our garage in the city. I would really
appreciate some help on this one. (my mind is wandering from bad spark
plugs to sugar in the gas tank with three broken lugs and a separated
axle on one corner) Thanks,
