Fuel Gauge/Sender TR-6

finally getting around to replacing the leaking top gasket on the fuel tank. 
the other day i had the "pleasure" of running out of gas while the guage
indicated at least 1/8 tank.

does anybody kow if there is adjustment that can be made to either the
sending unit or the guage that will allow me to show that when it is on E it
really is on fumes and not before?
