Calling all SOL's!
PO had replaced the speedo in my 1976 TR-6 some years ago (I have written
about this speedometer before, and have repaired it with help from some of
you - thanks!). When PO installed the new unit, he neglected to include the
voltage stabilizer (He also stuck the speedometer back in it's hole with
silicon caulk - really!). He simply connected the three green wires and
bypassed the stabilizer. BTW both the fuel guage and the temperature
indicator operate properly in this configuration. I ordered a new stabilizer
from TRF and attached it properly to the speedometer. Now my temperature
guage works properly but the fuel guage reads dead to the left. When I slide
the spade connectors together and bypass the stabilizer, it reads properly.
Any ideas?
I have ensured proper ground.
Bad Voltage Stabilizer?

P.S. BTW, I did scrape off the silicon and ordered proper spade bushings and
nuts from TRF (oops! backordered)
