Since Ross is working on an early Spit, MOSS will be useless to him. They
do not support the early spits at all. IMHO, it seems like they are
actively ignoring these cars (is it really possible to do that?). If you
know that a given part is shared with a 1500 or a TR4-6 (which many early
spit parts are), and are willing to lie about which model car you are
buying for, Moss will sell you the part. I asked a salesman why they
support every British car from that era but the Spit and was told "there
are no parts available for the early Spitfire". The salesman stood by
this statement, even after I told him it was not true, other vendors carry
plenty of early Spit parts, and even as I was ordering a part (which was
out of stock at TRF and it was an emergency) for my early Spitfire, right
under his nose. I don't know why their attitude bothers me so much. Must
be an inferiority complex :-)

Somewhat ironically, a very good place for early Spit stuff is
Cox&Buckles/TriumphTune in the UK. They are now a division of MOSS but
support the early Spitfire anyway, and do it very well.

I would second Rik's comments on TRF's quality. I order there if at all
possible, and am willing to wait for backordered items from them.
