I recently decided to put the original radio back in -
having faced the fact that there is no way (and, some
would say, no reason) to listen to a stereo when you
have ansa pipes. However, I've noticed that with the
volume any more than half-way up (as it must be to
hear at all) the distortion renders speech unintelligible.
That is, it sounds like @#$%.
I'm playing through a very good set of 4" speakers
that are rated to handle 50+ watts so, the limitation,
I guess is in the radio. Too *little* power? Overdriving
the output section?
Has anyone had any experience with running OE radios
through the separate power amp that are now available for
autos?
