No, not as such. I'm the sort of person who would name a dog "Dog,"
or a cat "Cat." That being the case, I have always just called
my Spitfire "Little Car."
I love little cars generally, and little British ones specifically,
and every day that I drove this one was a day unsurpassed by any
other.
Many thanks also to everyone else who sent me words of sympathy;
only another Scion of Lucas could understand the depths of
affection that these character-rich vehicles generate in their
owners.
I ended up mostly lurking here because my mechanical knowledge
of the car was, at best, that of a middling weekend mechanic, but
the knowledge, stories, and tales of success helped tie me in
a very real way to britcar aficionados everywhere. I hope
to pick another lbc soon, before I start to suffer serious
withdrawal pains.
