Dave and all,

I've been through TR-7 cooling Hell myself and here's what I did
for my TR-7 V8 (a la Ford 289) and highly recommend for everyone! :-)

A) 1967-69 Chevorelot Nova radiator. It's 18 3/4 " tall and 26.5" at
its widest spot. Core is 2" thich and tanks are 2.75 " thick. Get the
automatic oil cooler if needed.

B) Lay it at a 45 degree angle with top towards front bumber. The
wedge has a handy bracket in the center of the car for studs. This may
not be necessary for the Buick V6 as its not as long.

C) Make some spacers for the bottom bracket and get longer bolts.
This will allow support of the taller unit.

D) Have the top neck removed and soldered shut. Have a 3/4" nipple
placed on the top right side. This will allow the TR8 overflow to
work with it.

E) An electric fan. Maybe two.

F) The stock spoiler helped my air flow immensely also!

A similar arrangement is also seen in Corvettes.

I just bought a 4 core radiator like this from:

Superior Radiator
195 Grand Ave
Mt. Clemens, MI 48043
1-800-334-9974

for $230 with postage!

They will custom make about anything!
