Ouch, John.  I know where you are coming from as I went through a 
similar experience in my Spit a few years back.  The car was totalled by 
the insurance company but was rebuildable, so I was able to give it new 
life.  It is not the same car, however, but it is still fun and I'm glad 
Sarah talked me into keeping it.  I hope you can get it resolved quickly 
so you can put it behind you...
