in 1980-81 when triumph stopped building and selling cars, reagan was
elected president, and it was 280yen to the u.s. dollar. it's now 90yen to
the u.s. dollar. meanwhile, the pound has stuck with the dollar- one
wonders why the brits couldn't now design and build a roadster with
electronic injection and a decent ignition system (perhaps by bosch, but
obviously not by lucas) that would start and run reliably, meet u.s. safety
and emission standards, that wouldn't rust, and sell it for less money than
even a miata, let alone a 300zx or mitsubishi 3000
has there been any suggestion that they might?
