TR 8 rear end noise

Hello all:

    This is my first posting since subscribing. I haven't seen anything relating
to TR 8's yet, but perhaps some one can help. I own two 8's and both exhibit the
same symptoms, although not in the same degree. The symptoms are loud, grinding
noises emanating from the rear end under hard acceleration. On the older car I
can actually sense the driveshaft move rearward under hard acceleration. Neither
car has failed yet. Is there cause for concern, or is this normal? It hardly
seems so. Is there a fix?
