make sure your motor is fully broken in before using synthetic, there are times, depending on material and design of pistons and rings, that synthetic has kept rings from fully seating during break in because it lubes TOO good. I'd be more concerned about mixing brands/types of synthetics with eachother than whether you have a little residual normal oil in your system. |
