The other thing that clearances can play with is time on the seat. This is especially important for the exhaust valve, which has a lot of heat to pass into the head (and thus to the water jacket). If it doesn't spend enough time on the seat, it's more likely to get burned. Cam profiles are black magic, as far as I'm concerned. I buy from a reputable manufacturer and follow their recommendations. |
