Just thought I would affirm what Ken says here. I picked this chart up
awhile back and figured it would help with the gear oil/engine oil
discussion:
The following chart shows the relationship of "real" viscosity to their
S.A.E. assigned numbers. The relationship of gear oils to engine oils is
also shown.
