Use 30 wt motor oil. Do not use 90 wt. Do not put anything strange & slippery
into the transmission unless you want to rebuild the OD unit. Look at your
users manual for acceptable fluids. If you don't have a user's manual you
probably should pick one up. It tells you which fluids to use where and when to
replace them.
But the TR3 & 4 gear boxes take regular motor oil. I would hesitate to use
synthetic oil on the grounds that it might be too slippery for OD's clutches.
