Put it back in, get a bolt, use plumbing teflon tape and screw it in. Eg.
plug it up.
The good news:
1 Your brake warning light will never come on!
2 It will never leak fluid again.
The bad news:
A If your brakes fail you will have to rely on the pedal
reaching the floor to warn you that they failed. (You
see at that point the light would normally come on
distracting you from the tree directly in your path.
Thus when your brakes fail you get to see DANGER whereas
before you would BE DISTRACTED and wonder what that red
light was before you felt impact.) 8-)
