I really can't believe that Triumphs long competiton history and legacy of
racing and rally MODIFIED cars is forgotten. So, the guy wants more power!
It is a CAR, not a work of art. Just transportation for the purpose of
having fun. No more, no less. I can cope much easier with the TR6 that was
in Ashville last year with the Ford 302 and the incredible workmanship than
I can with the TR6 stashed away NEVER to be DRIVEN by the "investor". I
know we have lost more cars to speculators and profiteers than Hot Rodders.
Yes, my TR4 has a few period performance mods but it looks and runs GOOD.
Most importantly, that car makes me smile. Heck, on a good twisty road I
laugh out loud. It is just the way I want it and if others are offended I
feel sorry for them. There is room in our hobby for everyone and if you
look around there are some very interesting cars and people on the fringes
who feel unwelcomed by the self proclaimed " keepers of the purity".
Lighten up, it's only a car.
Jack
