Thank you Theo

I just checked Rock Auto.com =E2=80=93 the 50 amp has an external =
regulator, the 55 amp has an internal regulator.

I used that alternator (early 80's Toyota) in my first alternator =
conversion. It has an internal regulator which makes wiring it a breeze =
and it still has a light output compatible with the Tiger dash light =
indicator.=20

I don't recall its rating off the top of my head but I think it is 55 =
amps. So be careful if you have an ammeter because this thing can pin =
it.=20

The 1982 and earlier Toyota Alternator looks promising.

No guarantee=20

I do not have parts on hand to investigate this install.

I have no details about this install, thus my ask.

=20

Here are my observations:

=20

Not sure about what alternator is used.

Long bolt =E2=80=93 7/16=E2=80=9D around 8.5=E2=80=9D long

3 spacers =E2=80=93 these will vary, depends on the Alternator

The adjustment arm is not showing =E2=80=93 original arm might work

Stock Tiger heavy cast iron bracket, long bolt, Ford alternator, 3 =
custom spacers...

wha la.. Tiger with a modern alternator conversion.

=20

Different strokes... This one should work ok.

This is a very interesting Alternator install using the Tiger generator =
bracket.

=20

Anyone have a detailed description of this install?
