Always difficult to troubleshoot remotely.

=20

You may have to do standard checks on all systems =E2=80=93 air, fuel =
and spark

Alcohol in the fuel can tear up hoses and gaskets

Check to make sure fuel filter is OK

Check for vacuum leaks=20

=20

My 1st thought =E2=80=93 the fuel level is high

Check the float level and check for any debris in the float bowl

=20

Remove the air filter and idle engine to see if it is an air flow =
problem.=20

=20

Hope this helps

Ok, so I got the vacuum advance sorted and reset the timing, etc. But =
now there's another issue.

=20

The car starts and warms up normally, choke opening, temperature gauge =
coming up to the thermostat temp, etc. But then it starts surging at =
idle. Accelerating, driving both seem fine. But when it goes back to =
idle, waiting at a stoplight or something, it starts having these little =
dips, which soon become larger dips, to the point where it stops. It =
restarts right away, then does it again. At a stoplight I have to left =
foot brake so that I can keep my foot on the throttle to keep it alive. =
=20

=20

Here's a video I shot in the garage as it started to do it after warming =
up. Anybody seen this before or... cured it?
