The change in pressure could go either way for different reasons.

The alpines ran 7 and 9lbs. Once you get to higher pressure the heater
cores budlge as they were not built for higher psi.

So maybe the Tigers had low psi to start and they raised psi to help with
overheating by raising boiling point....

Or they started with higher and lowered to stop heater core issues. ..????
