Ron,
Curious, in your picture showing the striped hose going from the intake=
to=20
the brake booster it is clamped down on the firewall-to-fender brace. On=
=20
some cars I've seen that clamp and some don't seem to have it. I will hav=
e=20
to go through the pics of my own car to see if it was ever there, but I=
=20
don't remember seeing a hole for the screw that would hold the clamp. Do=
you =20
know if the clamp was standard on all versions of the Tiger?

Subject: [Tigers] One last dash question and then I'll go back to sleep.=
..
Ok, when one looks at the, ahem, wiring diagram, contained in the shop=20
manual or the one on Tigers United, when it becomes rapidly evident that=
the=20
places where the wires actually fasten to the instruments is not there.=
CAT=20
has a dash wiring diagram which does show the locations they are mostly=
=20
evident. But when the temperature gauge and fuel gauges get involved with=
the=20
voltage stabilizer things get different. I have tried all the combinatio=
ns=20
that two wires on two instruments can be connected, four total I think,=
=20
but still nothing works. Again, I have a farkle, I think, in the voltage=
=20
stabilizer, but to eliminate the wiring as culprit to anything, which wir=
e goes=20
where? The CAT diagram shows the LGG wires from the Voltage stabilizer=
=20
connecting to one post on the temp meter and the opposite post on the fue=
l=20
meter. =20
So how about one of you smart folk telling me that if you are looking at=
=20
the back side of the fuel meter, which post/lug does the LGG colored wire=
go=20
onto and same for the temp meter. I can figure out where the other wir=
e=20
goes since there will only be one choice. Then I can put those into=20
place so that I can get on with life waiting and trying to decide which=
=20
replacement VS to purchase. Heeellllpppp!=20
Next question. Will someone who has an unmolested vehicle with all the=20
water plumbing as OEM take a photo and send it along to me? I want to=20
reestablish the full heater and carb heating system that I removed eons=
ago and=20
forgot. I did find my two unobtainium T=E2=80=99s and I have my OEM temp=
sensor to=20
reinstall, so all I need is hose routing. Not looking to make a points ca=
r=20
shows or anything just need it to be reasonably functional. Again any hel=
p=20
out there? =20
And now for some status=E2=80=A6 My car is a MK1 series and so it has the=
metal=20
soft top hide system. And before I thought to much about it, I installed=
=20
seat belts with a shoulder strap included, using the fender seat beat=20
attachment points. Ok, well and good, but then the metal center section=
would not=20
go far enough down to permit the soft top t\o fold away. So today I=20
corrected all that. I now have fully functional lap/shoulder seat belts=
for driver=20
and passenger AND the metal hide away parts are fully functional now. P=
=20
side center panel latch needs to be adjusted but an easy \task. At may st=
eady=20
pace of 5 steps backwards for every 5.1 steps forward it shouldn=E2=80=99=
t take=20
more than a month, lol. As so as it is adjusted I will install the new=
soft=20
top. =20
A photo attached=E2=80=A6 a teaser=E2=80=A6 but nothing magic about the =
car. Race car is=20
hidden away under a pile of blankets and covers. =20
