I was told by another competitor that the organizers required the Tigers to
run 13" wheels and tires and apparently nobody does anymore.

If the sighting was in Birmingham, then the car was owned by long time owner
Rick Lara.

Jeff:
As it turns out, it sounds like it may have been Rick Lara per my buddy's
e-mail response to me:
"Yes, that?s where we were camped out. Birmingham is an affluent area
between Pontiac and Detroit Metro area. More towards the northern end of
the Cruise. It was a plain green car...looked very stock by my
interpretation. He only passed by once while we were there and that was a
good, 5 hours."
Thanks for your input, Jeff,

First, apparently the organizers did not accept a single Tiger this year.
What a bummer. I can't imagine the Cobras and Mustangs were actually
nervous about the competition!
Second, on the plus side, Tom Sakai had an Alpine out there. We were all
set to cheer it on. But it blew an oil line during the first lap of the
morning race, and they couldn't fix it in time for the afternoon race.
Otherwise, it was a great event.
