Problem is those of us that bought our cars to restore are now seeing ou=
r budgets getting blown out of the water. I did build in extra for unfor=
eseen costs but the price of some parts are now double and sometimes tri=
ple what they should be. My Tiger may be sitting longer for completion t=
hen I thought and that is a shame. This keeps up I will be priced out of=
the restoration and may have to sell. It's great the Tiger is getting t=
he recognition it deserves but those of us who do not have deep pockets =
are going to be pushed out by investors who have those pockets and reall=
y only care about turning the profit. TimB9470149

Hey, Tom:
With regards to raising the coverage on our Tigers...I just did this mor=
ning!!!!! Of course, I've just finished that huge project on mine and i=
t needed to be raised anyway. It does appear that Tigers are finally be=
coming seriously collectible, which is a double-edged sword of sorts, I =
suppose. I'm just glad I've got mine!!!
BTW...the car in question appeared to still be wearing its original pain=
t under the hood. It looked to me like the shade of green on the body w=
as a bit lighter than what was in the engine compartment. It also had a=
n aftermarket steering wheel and, from what I could tell, an incorrect a=
mp gauge, too. Considering all of this, I was pretty surprised to see i=
t bring that kind of money.

It did appear to be of a very nice driver quality, though not a concour=
s resto. It came with LAT 70s and a LAT hood, but I can't remember if i=
t had a hardtop with it.
