Hi, Allan Ballard raised a couple of good questions to me about what constitutes 'stock', and he mentioned LAT 70 wheels, and after I reread my posting, he's correct, of course, it did sound like I was labeling those as a personalization or modeification change that would move a concours candidate into another class. My bad. Allan also raised a question about 'period correct' accessories moving a car out of stock. By those, I wonder if he meant parts like Nardi or Motolita wood steering wheels, AMCO wood shift knobs or Blaupunkt radios that one could order from a catalogue, adapted just for Sunbeams but available for a range of other cars, too. In the end, that's a question for someone like Pat King of STOA or Dave Dunn of Pacific Tigers. I can't seem to find the rules for the last concours that I helped judge. Still, though, a valid question. _______________________________________________ tigers@autox.team.net Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Archive: http://www.team.net/archive Forums: http://www.team.net/forums Unsubscribe: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/tigers/tigers-archive@autox.team.net |
