Don't forget that Jan Servaites sells samples of the correct original colors,
based on work he has done checking many cars which have protected areas of
panels.B He has replicated the colors and made them up as samples sprayed on
CD disks, which you can take to an auto paint store.B They then develop a
formula in their paint to matchB that sample using their spectrograph.B The
hole in the CD makes an excellent focal area to compare resultant shade to
sample when overlayed.B B Can also do that with your own paint to see how it

BTW, I am very pleased with the sample I bought from him for color code
100.B B He told me he paints his cars using BASF single stage Glaserit (sp?)

You would need to talk to either Doug Jennings or Dale's Restoration for a
modern paint code. B If you have a panel with that paint, take it to a paint
supplier for spectral color match.
