Ford published that the least amount of wear happens when the small
block Ford engine is at 180 degrees F.
Today's engines run with 195 or higher thermostats.
Never trust the dash temp gauge unless you have calibrated it; most are off
a fair amount.

open at 1550, engine run at 1700 on the gauge. At your mind what is the best
