Joel,
I have the smaller diameter of Dale's Wilwood front kits and his rear
disc conversion. They work very well, but the front pad compound I have
dusts badly. Hopefully I'll find something a little less "dusty" when I
replace the pads.
Seems like a lot of trouble and expense to switch to 5 bolt hubs just to get
those wheels, plus you may still have a real problem getting the right
wheel offset. I suggest you think hard about that one.
I have 16"x7" Panasport rims (Panasport knows the right offset for
Tigers), running 205/45-16 tires front and 225/45-16 rear. The 205s
have about the same rolling diameter as the stock tires on 13" rims, so fit
pretty well and shouldn't need major fender mods, if any.
I think Dale's big disc kit requires 16" rims. The smaller disc kit
might get by with smaller, but I think the 16x7 rims are a good size
all around with the 205/45 tires. Dale can certainly lay out the options for
you, but call him instead of email.

Subject: [Tigers] Brakes & Wheel Combinations
1966 MK1A - I am curious as to what after market brake and wheel combinations
people are using.

These kits
are pretty pricey but appear to have everything needed but use a 4 bolt lug
nut pattern.B What are the other options for increasing the braking
performance of the tiger?
I would like to use one of the American Racing
Wheels but they are 5 bolt lug nut pattern.

What is the best overall size of wheels and tire commbinations to use without
having to modify the wheel lips?B Original was 13 " rims.B Going to 14 or 15
", width and tire sizes with knowing the wheel offsets to fit brake package
and still fit correctly in the wheel wells.B Can you keep the same sizes
front and rear?
How in the world do you determine all of this?
Thoughts,
pictures, sizes, part numbers etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
