Sounds like it was set up for oval, dirt track racing!  Overall though it 
seems like something that needs furture investigation.  Hopefully it wasn't 
done to compensate for a bent unibody.  It sounds like at the least the 
springs should be removed, compared and if similar, reinstalled correctly. 
Otherwise, replaced.
