In addition to the handful of Tiger GT's built that came with body colored
hardtops
as standard equipment, the US, Canadian, and European sales folders covering
the Tiger 1, 1A, and II mentioned that a body colored hardtop could be ordered
at extra cost when ordered at the same time as the car.
I have a photograph of Tigers still on the car carrier being delivered to a
Wisconsin dealer that show three Tigers with body colored hardtops. The photo
is circa 1966.
My car came with body colored hardtop, but then the car (1A #48) was originally
Embassy Black anyway.
