There's more to it than just the air cleaner. A little clarification
may be in order here:
Chrome engine accessories were available only as part of the LAT 2
option, which consisted of a pair of "Tiger" aluminum valve covers, a
chrome air cleaner top, a chrome oil filler cap, a chrome radiator
cap, and a chrome dipstick (handle and tophat only). These chromed
items were not available separately.
Tiger valve covers could be purchased separately, without the chromed
items, as LAT 8, but the only way to get the chrome goodies was to
buy the complete LAT 2 package.
For concours purposes, it's all or nothing. You can have the valve
covers without the chrome stuff (LAT 8), but if you have one chrome
piece you need to have them all, plus the valve covers (LAT 2). Other
chromed pieces--expansion tank, fan shroud, cowl struts, voltage
regulator cover, thermostat outlet, generator/alternator bracket,
etc., are not legitimate LAT options and could reduce your concours score.
