It's not the connections to the horns that gives trouble, although
adding a relay is probably not a bad idea. The horns, themselves,
gradually give up with time but they often can be brought back to life.
If you look carefully at the horns, you will find an adjustment screw
which can be turned while applying the current to adjust the volume of
the horn. Try that first before going on to other solutions. It's also
true that fully 90% or more of the electrical problems with British cars
are due to a bad ground. Make sure the connections are good and clean,
that will often help as well.
