Many studies have shown conclusively that the problem with the Tiger cooling
system is lack of air-flow thru the radiator. The single best solution to
cooling a properly functioning Tiger (i.e. cooling system is in good shape)
at low-speeds is to fit a full fan radiator shroud. The stock shroud covers
only the top-half of the fan so the fan pulls air thru the radiator very
inefficiently.

At speed one wants to ensure that air flows thru - not around - the
radiator. This is best accomplished by closing off the horn-holes on either
side of the radiator and filling the gap between the cross member and the
bottom of the radiator.

There used to be a few fellows who made plastic lower fan shrouds. There
was also a fellow who made steel plugs for the horn holes (looked like OEM).
If they are out there perhaps they would chime in? The gap can be filled
with the foam material ordinarily used to cover hot-water pipes.

Fix the air-flow problems and there is no need for oil coolers - EVER.

Cheers,

Wayne
