I'd be happy to check your belt tension with my tension gauge (if you are
anywhere near Lansing, IL.)
I'll bet some of the bigger auto parts stores use them as part of their free
diagnostic, electrical system checks and they'd check yours for free.
Also, there are several anti-squeal, belt dressing sprays available. I used
them with some success on glazed pulleys and old belts.
