List,
I don't know this first hand, but I have heard that the TRW engine mounts
are the best because they have a hook and loop design (for a lack of a
better term) that keep the vulcanized two metal parts together. This
precludes the possibility of the motor mount splitting apart. I learned
about these long after I finished my restoration, so I don't have them on my
car.
I don't know if these part numbers are still valid or not, but they are; TRW
left 82220, right 82221.
Any experience with these?

Subject: Re: [Tigers] Tigers, about TRW
TRW is an automotive parts supplier trading on the NYSE under the symbol
TRW.
The following comes from the internet:
TRW Automotive makes cars stop and go around the world, all the while
keeping passengers safe. The company makes components for some 40
automakers, with
three companies accounting for more than 40% of sales: Volkswagen (17%),
Ford
(15%), and General Motors (11%). Products include chassis systems (brake,
steering, and suspension systems) and safety systems such as airbags,
security
electronics, and seat belts. Other products include body controls and
engine
valves. TRW Automotive has 200-plus facilities in more than two dozen
countries worldwide. The Blackstone Group owns a 46%-stake in the company,
which was
formerly part of TRW Inc.
