These are some of the things I did when I put in a 91' block:
At some point, the engines went to a 50oz,(somewhere in the late '80s when
they went to roller cams) instead of the 260's 28oz. externally balanced
flywheel. Make sure you don't mix the two.
The front pulley is a four bolt, instead of the tigers' three bolt. If you
go to a roller camshaft (highly recommended) and you use the old
distributor, you have to make sure the distributor gear is steel so it is
compatible with the roller cam.
The timing mark on the newer 302s is on the passenger side; so, if you have
the outlet of the radiator (bottom) in the stock place, you have to put new
timing marks on the driver's side of the damper so you can time the engine.
The new water pump pulley mounting flange has to be pressed on a little
further to match the crank pulley.
There is a clutch bracket that is for the six-bolt housing. I've forgotten
who has it, but it's out there.
I also used the 164 tooth flywheel, to allow for a 10.5 inch clutch.
Ran 12.97et 106.67 w/street tires.

Subject: [Tigers] 260/302 modifications
My understanding is that the engine block dimensions externally are the
same. The 302-bolt pattern will be of a 6-bolt type on the bell housing;
on the transmission, housing from your 260 will be a 5-bolt type. I am
not sure about the clutch slave cylinder will have to be changed. May be
some one can add to this message.
