Hello Steve, My wife and I did he same last year. YOU MUST DO THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL. We also happened across a free spectating evennt at Silverstone Raceway (nw of Oxford) Please be prepared for the bad exchange rate and the lack of ice or anything cold... I'm serious, they lost the recipe for ice in WWII. Get the Oyster Card for the Underground...Mind the gap!
