Tigers,
As one passes down the road of life, scenes of the past often playback
through your memory.
I recall, as a young boy, staring at the green "tuning eye" of the RCA
console radio, and listening enraptured to the programs.
This was a good many years before commercial television, the the living
room radio/phono was the center of entertainment. Ah, they don't make
programs like they used to. Of course that is as true today as it was then.
My eyes were as big as saucers, staring at the Magic Eye, as the world
dimmed and the sound came forth:
"Return with us now to the thrilling days of yesteryear", the
mellifluous voice would entrance, "where, from out of the past. a
magnificent white stallion would rear, and a voice thundered "Hi, Ho,
Silver. Away!" - "The Lone Ranger"!
Time flowed by, never to be as good as it was no matter when you start
counting. There a great days ahead and behind you.
But, to get to the message:
There is a marvelous article by Darrell Mountjoy about his 2002 visit to
Le Mans and Goodwood. His restored "ADU 180B" (No. 9) and the ex-Le
Mans race car, and the companion "ADU 190" (No. 8)
Return with us to the Thrilling Days of Yesteryear:
"A Long Way Home":

Thank you, Darrell.
