To all, Thanks to those who responded to my query re: how to unleash the trunk lid spring's energy without a trip to the hospital or dentist. A local Tiger friend saw my post and phoned me last night. He recommended attaching a length of line to the rear end of the spring and then pulling it away from it's anchor using one's body as a lever. It sounds enticing as there would be no need to "regap" the trunk lid afterwards. I'll give it a go. Regards, Tim |
