Sunbeam solved that issue by: 1. A small drain hole in the spare tire well. 2. A battery vent hose running from the battery out thru the bottom of the trunk floor. If your battery doesn't have caps with vents or you don't have the hose, then you have a problem. Consider the Optima battery. It doesn't have vents a shouldn't release hydrogen gas. Dave |
