I haven't read the SCM article yet, but one of the contributors to his  
magazine is Colin Cormier, I believe, and he's the gentleman who paid $59,000  
+/- 
for a MK2 last year. I don't think it was a strong #2 car either. He relies  
on his many contributors for market updates on the various marques. While I  
like the magazine very much, the values for the MK2's definitely look low  
considering that one of his friends recently paid more for less.
