Hello Peter,

Ford Racing Performance Parts has 2 starters that will work.

M-11000-A50 1.1 kw Hi-torque
M-11000-B50 1.6 kw Super Hi-torque

                                                          These are smaller
and 5 lbs lighter than the stock starter and come with all connecting cables
and instructions. Header clearance and installation space are plusses.

Will fit all 260/289/351W/351C engines except 164 tooth manual transmission
flywheel. My Tiger 1A has 160 tooth, and is as original.

I have them in my 73 Pantera, 289 Cobra, 70 Shelby GT 350, 72 Ranchero and
had one in my 65 GT 350 and NEVER a problem. Just put one in the Tiger.

Most aftermarket starters do NOT have the shaft support on the end that
original starters had. I broke several before I started using these, and they
were more expensive. These cost $120 to $140, depending on your dealer.

I hope this helps.

Bud Williams
