Smitty says he's never seen an Alpine fulcrum pin break--the ackerman
angles on the Alpine create less stress on the pins.
When we were working to relocate the steering rack on my Tiger, I used
the Alpine ackerman angles as a target. Don't think I quite got there,
but there was a good improvement over the stock Tiger angles.
I'm betting that Bob Hokanson's design is even better.
