Hi Lon -
I've been a Tiger owner for 11 years. Obviously it is hard to put a price
on the car without seeing it, but I suggest something like this: $5K if
really beat up, $7k for average condition, and $10K if "just cosmetics" need
to be handled.

Because the car has not been driven for so long, there are a lot of things
you will have to go though .. brakes, clutch, rubber, exhaust, etc. Dash is
probably cracked, etc. Probably have to replace the tires and wheels. And,
there must have been something wrong with the car that needed fixing when
the owner put it in the barn. That will also have to be addressed.

To be honest, I really would not pay much more than $10K for a Tiger that
has not been modernized even if in great original condition. There are so
many problems with the original car that need attention. I would not
consider driving a car that has not had the front end completely gone
through with new ball joints and all the weak areas rewelded.

I don't mean to sound too negative, but I know how much work is involved in
fixing up a beater, because that is what I bought 11 years ago. Just drove
it today, though. Fun!

Good luck,
Randy Antosiak

Sorry if this is a dupe: As a two time Tiger owner, I thought I knew what I
was looking at . . .
however, I have a lead on a "real" barn find. A 1965 Tiger, original owner,
not run since 1980, rust free, no dents, interior useable, but in need of
attention, just time vaulted for many decades . . . I realize this is a full
restro project anyway, but I haven't a clue where to start on price. Owner
is just as puzzled . . . ideas?

Lon
