According to "how stuff works" (http://auto.howstuffworks.com/steering2.htm) It's the ratio of how far you turn the steering wheel to how far the wheels turn... If I recall correctly the inside wheel at full lock is turned 30 degrees, and the outside one 36 degrees, so that makes the ratio 1260/66, or 19 to 1. Theo |
