New (to me) car book

Just purchased a book called Ultimate Performance Cars and I was pleased
to see that they included the Sunbeam Tiger (actually, that's why I
purchased the book). Since it was listed along with cars like the Cobra
289, Jag E-type lightweight, Iso Grifo and Detomaso Mangusta (hey,
that's my engine!) I thought we were in some pretty nifty company.

If this book has been mentioned before, I apologize. I tried searching
the archives and couldn't get connected. Probably a technical glitch.

The 'spread' on each car is 4 pages and the primary car shown on the
first two pages is different from the car used for the 'multiple view
photos' on the following two pages. What I thought was interesting is
that the Tiger on the first two pages is a Mark II with 5-bolt wheels.
It looks like the same one pictured in the Gold Portfolio--which also
had 4-wheel disc brakes with the uprated 10.7" discs on the front. The
license plate numbers look the same, though it's hard to tell.
It's the only Tiger that I know of that came from the factory with the
5-bolt wheel pattern (anyone with better info, please step in). I wish
I knew what that bolt spacing was.

I'm glad to see that the car has survived and that it looks the same as
it did in the Autocar article back in '69.

Best Regards
David Sosna
