Rob mine was doing this a few weeks after I installed a new starter.
Everything would shut down for 10 seconds, tach, lights, engine ,etc. then
restart
before I even got stopped. I knew it had to be a main feed and I retraced all
the work I did. The main feed line from the battery comes to the front to the
solenoid, and I had that off when changing the starter over to a Ford racing
m-50. It looked tight, but I took it off cleaned it real well with some
emery paper and tightened it a little more than I did before. that was that.

check the wiring and esp anything that got disturbed when you did that nice
job on the pump......cheers
