Distributor

Tigers,
I know this has come up before, but I can't get the distributor to go  in the 
last quarter inch.  Everything is lined up correctly, and I've had  it out 
three or four times before and it has always gone back in with no  trouble.  
The 
oil pump drive is still down there, but it is wobbling in the  hole.  Is 
there an easy answer to how to get the distributor back in?
